Zamig "Sam" Farkas, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 2nd, 2024 in Savannah, Georgia at the age of 77.
Sam was born on October 16th, 1946, in the Bronx, New York, the daughter of the late Isabel Rodriguez Rubin and the late Jose Brugueras.
Sam is survived by her loving spouse of 52 years, Anton (Tony) Farkas; her devoted children, Eric Farkas (Rachelle), Kimberly Williams (Robert) and Kirk Farkas (Shanna), her adored grandchildren, Macee, Joseph, Luke, Faith, Kirk, Porter, Bryson, Junior, Jackson and Maddox, her sister, Loraine Santis, along with other family and friends.
As a homemaker, Sam dedicated her life to caring for her family and creating a warm and loving home. She loved gardening, collecting antique furniture, and had a gift for interior design and decor. Her kindness, generosity, and sense of humor will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A gathering will be held at Baker McCullough Funeral Home-Garden City Chapel from 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm Saturday, May 4, 2024.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Sam's honor.
Sam will be remembered for her unwavering love and devotion to her family. May she rest in peace.
