Yung Hunton, age 84, of Savannah passed away Saturday, October 22, 2022.
Mrs. Hunton was born March 5, 1938 in Seoul, Korea. She got her citizenship and moved to the United States in 1976 and has lived in Savannah ever since. She was the wife of a Veteran, and she owned and operated her own store in downtown Savannah selling hats and clothes. Mrs. Hunton was a member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church.
Mrs. Hunton was preceded in death by her husband, William Hunton; brother, Young Gill Chun; and sister, Sandra Kendrick.
Survivors include her nephews, Shinwoo (Jessica) Chun and Steven (Lauren) Chun; and niece Alexandria Chun.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, October 28, 2022 at 12:00 noon at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church (11500 Middleground Rd. Savannah, GA 31419).
Interment will follow in the Greenwich section of Bonaventure Cemetery.
Remembrances may be made to St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church.
