Wilson Kirby Williamson Passed away in his home on September 17th, 2023, surrounded by his loved ones he took his last breath after over three years of an intense battle with cancer. Born October 22, 1968, in Vidalia Georgia to Wilson (Bert) Williamson and Aviedean Williamson. Growing up in Savannah Georgia with his older Sister Karen Lavely and Younger Brother Kevin Williamson. Later, Kris Williamson and Michael Farley joined the family as his brothers.
Kirby and Kevin were taught early on to be amazing musicians and often performed together with their father. Kirby was a master carpenter often saying if it was made out of wood, he could build it. This was evident through the hundreds of homes he built over the years. As a young man he took up the game of golf and never looked back playing almost every Sunday of his adult life. As a Nascar fan and avid car enthusiast with a particular love of Trans-ams he was always working with his sons on some kind of project.
Kirby was a loving husband, father, brother, Son, and above all else the best Pa in the world. He was loved by his children and grandchildren alike. Predeceased in death by his father Bert Williamson. He is survived by the love of his life Kim Williamson; Three children Alex Williamson (His First Born) and his wife Meg, Cayla Knowles (His Little Girl) and her husband Corey, and Garret Williamson (The Baby) and his wife Kenzie. His mother Aviedean and Stepmother Linda Williamson. His siblings Karen Lavely, Kevin Williamson (Theresa), Michael Farley (Mary), Kris Williamson (Evgenia) and many nieces and nephews.
Kirby known as a hard ass by most but nothing but a softy to his grandkids. He fought every day for more time with his family.
Eleanor was his first grandchild and turned him into Pa. Granger was the first boy and always his little buddy. Coral being his daughter’s first daughter made their bond almost inseparable. Colt carries Kirby’s memory through his middle name Wilson. Olive made him put in the most work for her love but just like the others she became another huge fan of Pa.
His final weeks were full of telling his children to take care of their mom, always putting her well being above his own. He never missed his chance to tell his children he was proud, letting them know they were his biggest accomplishment. A man with unyielding work ethic and even stronger sense of family he will be sorely missed.
