Mr. Willie Stephens retired to his eternal resting place the morning of Friday, September 15th, 2017. He was the oldest of four children born to Willie and Sarah Stephens. He was born in Decatur, Georgia on June 4, 1947.

Steve, as he was affectionately called, was married to Andrea Stephens for 33 years. Steve was a member of the Sanctuary of Savannah, Georgia. He was a member in good standing who enjoyed attending church services and fellowship with his church family. He was thankful to God for the many blessings He allowed him to achieve throughout his life.

Steve was a graduate of Trinity High School and attended Dekalb College in Decatur, Georgia and Trident Tech in Charleston, South Carolina. Steve was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force. He as a fireman at Hunter Army Air Field for 32 years and retired as a Lieutenant. He enjoyed golfing, watching documentaries, sports and enjoying family. He is loved and will be missed, but has found his eternal rest in the presence of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Steve was preceded in death by his mother Sarah Stephens, his father Willie (Buck) Stephens, a brother Darnell Stephens, and sister, Carolyn Harper.

He leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife Andrea; children: Willie (Kieatria) stephens, Sarah (Timothy) Picket, Ashley (Laura) Stephens, Mark (Shannon) Tyler, Anita (Guillermo) Matos, Nicole (Daniel) Geiger, Stephany Luttery; his brother Greg (Diane) Stephens; sisters-in-law, Barbara Brown, Karon and Sharon Johnson; grandchildren Lavendar Stephens, Annah Geiger, Daniel Geiger, Nicolas Geiger, Madison Matos, Mariella Tyler, Kayleigh Tyler, Ashleigh Luttery, and Alexander Luttery & a host of nieces and nephews.

Viewing and visitation will be on Saturday, September 23rd, 2017 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at The Sanctuary of Savannah. Funeral Services will follow at 11:00 AM from the church. Interment will be later in the Beaufort National Cemetery, Beaufort, South Carolina.
