Willie Mae Marsh West, 90, of Savannah, passed away Monday November 19, 2018 at Riverview Health and Rehabilitation.
Born in Statesboro, GA in 1928, Mae was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and cherished her church family. She enjoyed cooking, fishing, crocheting, and gardening and loved all of her family. Mae West was our sunshine.
She was preceded in death by her parents Willie and Lucy Marsh; husband of 57 years, Matthew L. West; 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
Mae is survived by her two sons, Mickell West (Nancy) and Donald "Donny" West (Kathy); one daughter, Willette W. Jordan; two sisters, Ann Lawson and Jane Baker (Bob); 14 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, and 11 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation: Saturday November 24, 2018 from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm at Calvary Baptist Temple.
Funeral Service: Saturday November 24, 2018 at 12:30 pm at Calvary Baptist Temple (4625 Waters Ave, Savannah, GA 31404). Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff at Riverview, especially Francine, for the love and care they have provided.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association (4849 Paulsen St Suite 103, Savannah, GA 31406).
