Williare Overstreet

December 17, 1936 — September 18, 2021

Williare Henderson Overstreet of Savannah Georgia passed peacefully on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at the age of 84.

She was originally born in Nicholls Ga on December 17, 1936. Her parents were Preston Henderson and Mabell Turner Henderson. Williare had so many family members who she loved unconditionally. She had seven brothers, Vernon, Sheldon "Shorty", Don (husband of Carolyn), Freddie, Nathan (husband of Delita), Jonnie, Lamar "Larkie" (husband of Donna); and one sister, Sandra Fae. Those siblings blessed Williare with many loving cousins, nieces and nephews who always enjoyed spending time with her at every family reunion. Williare was married to Mr. Edwin "Bill" Overstreet. She gave birth to two beautiful loving daughters Linda Diane, who was her mothers caretaker for many years, and Tammy Denise who passed away in 2000 to breast cancer. Williare left behind a granddaughter, Amy Spell; and 3 great grandchildren, Jason, Courtney, and Delaney who will forever keep her memories and stories alive through generations to come.

She was a beautiful woman inside and out. Williare was the definition of what love should be. She was patient, she was kind, she had a smile that could make you forget all your worries. She loved her family more than anything in this world. She made a point to teach everyone she met how important it was to make beautiful memories and how important it was to keep loved ones alive through these memories. She always said it was not about the materialistic things in life that mattered but how you treated people. She never judged and she always made sure the ones she loved knew there was no such thing as perfect and that it was ok to have struggles as long as you always got back up off your knees and never gave up. She loved to laugh and had the patience of a saint, she would work on puzzles, cross stitch, and play solitaire for hours. She would tell the same stories of her life millions of times to ensure we never forgot. She would sit with her grandchildren and look through pictures to make sure they knew their family tree so the ones she loved would never be forgotten. Williare was always an optimist, even on the darkest days. She was never too busy to listen and had a heart of gold. She was so special to so many and will never be forgotten. She was a loving sister, wife, mother, Aunt, cousin, grandmother and great grandmother.

May she be a guardian angel for all who loved her. We love you so much Williare Henderson Overstreet.
