William ("Bill" or "Buddy") grew up in New York and was the eldest child in a large family. As a young man, he served in the National Guard and later enjoyed a life-long career working as an analyst for Northrup Grumman, most recently with the Joint Stars program for the United States Department of Defense. He lived most of his life in New England, relocating to Savannah, Georgia, in retirement, where he lived and danced with his sweetheart, Ms. Anna Ramberg for the remainder of his life.

William always had a wonderful appreciation for adventure, nature, music, theatre, and dancing. He belonged to many charitable organizations and social clubs, including the Elks Club and Toastmasters. A lifelong lover of learning, he had several hobbies, including photography, gardening, traveling, and reading. Bill was known to be a lover of people, was quick to encourage living well and striving for excellence. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and watching his grandchildren grow and flourish.
