William N. Gates

We gather today to celebrate the life of William Norman Gates, affectionately called Billy. He
was born on July 26, 1948 in Cleveland Ohio to the late George Gates and Jesse Moore. Two
sisters preceded him in death Nedra Gates and Georgianna Jones. He was a graduate of East
High School in Cleveland Ohio. He also retired from the United States Army after twenty one
years of service which consist of two tours in Vietnam. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife
of forty six years, Sau Gates and four daughters: Loan Ware of Augusta Georgia (Darren Ware),
Thuy Terreromelo of Savannah Georgia, Anh Tran of St. Louis Missouri (Diep Tran­deceased),
Mai Phan of Hanoi, Vietnam (Gia Phan). He also has an extended family he leaves to cherish a
host of grandchildren, great grands, nieces, nephews,other relatives and friend

Visitation will be held Tuesday July 12, 2016 from 6pm to 8pm at Baker McCullough Funeral Homes and Crematory- Hodgson.

Service Time will be held Wednesday July 13, 2016 at 11 am at Baker McCullough Funeral Homes and Crematory- Hodgson.

Interment will be held on Thursday July 14, 2016 at 11 am at Baker McCullough Funeral Homes and Crematory- Hodgson.
