William L. Snider, 80, of Savannah and husband of Anne L. Snider, died Monday at Candler Hospital.
He was born in Savannah, Georgia on February 28, 1935, the son of the late Grover Samuel Snider and the late Elizabeth Helmey Snider.
Billy was employed by Union Camp where he retired after 42 years of service. He was a retired Sergeant with the Army National Guard.
He was a charter member of The Sanctuary of Savannah.
He was predeceased by his daughter Ramona Snider and a brother, George Calvin Snider.
Survivors include his wife Anne L. Snider; daughter Teresa Sandefur (Sandy); grandchildren, Adam and Amy Sandefur; brother, Donald Snider (JoAnn) and sister, Mary Gay; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, December 30, from 5 until 7 pm at Bonaventure Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 31, at 10:00 am, in the Chapel of Bonaventure Funeral Home conducted by Reverend Larry McDaniel. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
