William Darnell Hammond, Sr.

William D. Hammond, Sr. “Bubba” “Bill”, 57, of Guyton passed away Saturday, June 5, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family and under the care of Compassus Hospice.
A native of Savannah, William was the son of the late George Hammond and the late JoAnne Helmly Hammond. He was a member of Central Baptist Church and a Master Mechanic for Savannah Mitsubishi.
William loved being with his family and being outdoors, he and his wife Pam enjoyed camping.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Pam Cannon Hammond, two children, Shelly Hammond, William “Willy” D. Hammond, Jr., grandchildren, James Dawson Hammond, Bailey Elaine Wright, David Ashton Blount, Emersyn Jean Hammond, sister, Virginia Hamond Best Swanson, brothers, David Hammond, Bert Hammond, several nieces, nephews, other family and many friends.
Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at Greenwich Cemetery.
