William H. Morris "Billy", 81, of Bloomingdale passed on to his heavenly home Friday, December 22, 2017 at his home under the care of Kindred Hospice and surrounded by his loving family.
A Savannah native Billy was the son of the late John Henry Morris and the late Loraine Miller Morris. He was a US Army Veteran having served during Vietnam. He also was a US Merchant Marine and had worked around many Ship Yards.
Billy attended Bloomingdale Fellowship Church of God of Prophecy and was passionate about playing the guitar and piano. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and cars.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Helen Brock Morris; his children, Lisa Griner, William H. Morris, Jr. and John Warren Morris; step-children, Louise Johnson, James Cannon and Debra C. Brune; 9 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren; brothers, Skeeter and George Morris; many nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Visitation: 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at the Funeral Home.
Service: 11:00 am Thursday, December 28, 2017 at the Bloomingdale Fellowship Church of God of Prophecy with Pastor T. Mark Minter officiating
Burial: Gravel Hill Cemetery.
