William Rodney Miller, Jr. "Billy", 62 of Savannah passed away Wednesday, September 20, 2016 at Hospice Savannah after a short illness.
He was born in Savannah, a son of the late Mr. William R. Miller Sr. "Billy" and the late Mrs. Lucynda Wiley Miller "Cindy".
Survivors include his sisters, Mandy Cox of Savannah, Sandy Baker of Savannah; brother, Larry Miller of Rincon; 9 nieces and nephews and 11 great nieces and nephews.
Billy was a long haul specialty truck driver and a well respected mechanic. He enjoyed being surrounded by his friends and was blessed to have many, including his long time friend Steve Taylor who always stood by his side, even until the end. He was happiest in his boat fishing and diving for lobster and was happy to take anyone who wanted to go with him.
A visitation will be held Monday, from 10a.m.-11a.m. at Baker McCullough Funeral Home - Hubert C. Baker Chapel, 7415 Hodgson Memorial Drive, Savannah with a Memorial service to follow at 11:00a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Friends invited.
