William B. Helms, Jr., age 79 of Richmond Hill, Georgia passed away Monday, March 13th after a long illness.
He was born on December 30th, 1937 in Charlotte, North Carolina. He joined the US Air Force in 1954 and retired May 21st, 1976. After retiring he worked at Gulfstream in Savannah, Georgia as an Air Craft Inspector. He was the Commander of the American Legion in Bryan County.
He was preceded in death by his wife Betty, sons, Billy and Ronnie, and his parents, Mildred and Brice.
Survivors include his daughter, Kim Cahill (Tim); grandson, Darrell Cox; granddaughters, Pamela Burns (Shawn Burns), Heather Kersey (Brent Kersey), Brooke Cahill (Jorge Molina); great grandchildren, Jaden Burns, Tristan Burns, Alyssa Cox, Cade Kersey, Bella Molina; and many friends.
Services will be private.
