William Leigh "Bucky" Adkins, a lifelong resident of Savannah, GA, died peacefully on April 16, 2022, after a long illness. Bucky was a welder-pipefitter by trade and was well known for being extremely talented in welding and fabrication.
Bucky graduated from Jenkins High School in Savannah in 1969, and then attended a 5 year welding apprenticeship program. He worked in the welding industry for the next 46 years.
Preceded in death by his parents, Billie Nelson and John Adkins Sr., brothers John and Louis Adkins, he is survived by his wife of 48 years, Judy, sons Jason and Brian Adkins, sister Jo Harpe. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren: Lewis, Mica, Natalie, Elliot, Lucy, and Axel.
A Visitation will be held from 10 am to 11 am Wednesday April 20, 2022 at Baker McCullough Funeral Home- Garden City Chapel.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11 am Wednesday April 20, 2022 at Baker McCullough Funeral Home- Garden City Chapel.
Burial will be private.
The family has entrusted arrangements to Baker McCullough Funeral Home- Garden City Chapel.
