Wilfredo “Wally” Bobadilla, age 81, of Savannah, died Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at Hospice Savannah surrounded by his loving family. Wally was born in Cavite, Philippines on March 17, 1943 and later moved to Savannah in 1996. His formative years were spent in Cavite, where he retired as an advisor at the University of the East Philippines. He received Christ as his Lord and Savior at his home when he was in forties while in the Philippines. While in Savannah, he had many places of employment including the Oglethorpe Mall and later Gulfstream until he retired in 2009. He was a member of Bible Baptist Church and in his spare time he was an avid fisherman and crabber, especially at his favorite fishing spots at Moon River and Burnside Island. He is preceded in death by his parents; one brother and one sister.
His family includes his wife of thirty years, Ann Bobadilla of Savannah; one daughter; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren all of the Philippines; and several nieces, nephews and friends.
The family will receive friends on Friday, January 17, 2025 at Bible Baptist Church, 4700 Skidaway Road, Savannah, GA 31406 beginning at 10:00 until just prior to the service. A celebration of life service will follow at 11:00 at Bible Baptist Church with Pastor Herbert Hubbard officiating and Pastor Kelly McInery assisting.
Services are entrusted to Baker McCullough Funeral Home, 7415 Hodgson Memorial Drive, Savannah, GA 31406.
