Wayne Ellis Reese
November 6, 1960 – March 28, 2025

Wayne Ellis Reese was a man who made the world a little brighter with his presence. Born in Savannah and raised in Pembroke, Georgia, Wayne was a friendly, talkative soul whose heart was as big as his smile. Whether he was driving, sipping coffee, or striking up a conversation, he had an innate ability to make everyone feel like they were part of his family or life-long friend.

Wayne’s life was marked by his incredible resilience and a servant’s heart. After losing his left eye and leg, he became a guiding light for others, working with veterans and amputees to help them transition to a new reality. He approached life with a sense of humor, kindness, and a determination to help others, especially those in need.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Jim Paul and Dorothy Padgett Reese. He leaves behind his beloved son Greggory Wayne Reese (Macon), his brother, Ricky Reese (Rincon), his sister, Deborah Reese (Pitts) as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss him dearly.

He was also survived by Louise Roberson , best friend and companion. Extended family Jackie & Jeff Owens, Victoria & Jon Marshall Sauls and his little buddy Knox Sauls.
