Mrs. Wanda Loraine Levangie, age 84, of Statesboro passed away Wednesday, March 27, 2024. She was preceded in Death by her husband Melvin Freeman Levangie Jr. (1937-1999).
Wanda was born on December 11, 1939 in Franklin, Texas to the late William Kirby Tuttle and the late Abbey C. Hickson Tuttle. She was a graduate of Stephen F. Austin High School in Bryan Texas. While a stay-at-home mother she traveled with her Husband and Family through his service in the military. She co-owned a ceramic shop in Richmond Hill Georgia with friend, Barbara Sexton for several years. After selling the shop, she and her Husband moved to Statesboro Georgia where they lived for their remaining years.
Survivors include a sister, Nancy Tuttle Rhodes (Larry Rhodes); 3 children, Daughters- Anita Hay, Katherine Deloe and a Son- Melvin Freeman Levangie III (Valerie Levangie); as well as 3 Grandchildren, Alex Deloe (Anne), Austin Deloe and Katherine Levangie.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Hodgson Memorial Chapel (7415 Hodgson Memorial Drive Savannah, GA 31406).
A private entombment will follow in Hillcrest Abbey East Cemetery.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
