Wilbur "Danny" Daniel Knight, 65, of Savannah formerly of Port Wentworth, died Sunday, January 21, 2018 at St. Joseph's Hospital.
A native of Savannah, Danny was the son of the late Fred W. and Dorothy McElveen Knight. He was a 1971 graduate of Robert W. Groves High School and was retired from Georgia Pacific where he was a Chief Boiler Operator.
Danny was a member of the Central Baptist Church where he sang in the choir and he also loved to fish.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Lorna Darleene Lewczyk.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Donna Hopper Knight; daughters, Amber Merritt, Amanda Davis and April Boyles; grandchildren, Breanna Kathryn Boyles, Caleb Wilbur Boyles, Zackery Hunter Mock, Dylan Michael Mock, Skiler Alexis Mock, Chad Edward Mock, Jr., William Kevin Davis, Jr.; and a sister, Angela Bess Westall; other family and many friends.
A gathering will be held at Central Baptist Church on Wednesday, January 24, 2014 from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm, a Memorial Service will begin at 2:00 pm in the Church Sanctuary with Rev. Kenny Harrelson officiating.
