Vivian Anderson Mobley "Billie" died peacefully at Spanish Oaks Retreat on March 2, 2017 in Savannah, Georgia at the age of 86.
Vivian is survived by her children, Stephen and Ginny Mobley, of Woodstock, GA., Jane and Eddie Smart, of Savannah, Ga., Mark and Deborah Mobley, of Savannah, Ga.; seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, a sister, Hazel Anderson Stanley of Savannah, Ga., and a brother, Andy (Blanche) Anderson of Richmond Hill, Ga.
Vivian was born on October 12th, 1930 in Nevils, Georgia to John Lawson and Ida Jane Anderson. She graduated from Georgia Southern University with three degrees in education. She taught geography in the Bulloch County school system for 20 years.
She married Harris Mobley in 1950 (who preceded her in death), who later became a professor at Georgia Southern. After they retired from the education fields, they operated four thriving businesses in the Savannah area for ten years.
A Celebration of Life Reception is scheduled from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. Sunday, March 5th at Baker McCullough Funeral Home in Garden City. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Vivian's life.
