Virginia Verdelle Royal Roberts, 87, of Savannah died Friday, April 14, 2017 at Heritage Inn Health and Rehabilitation.
She was born in Girard, Georgia November 28, 1926 to the late Walter and Marie Verdelle and had lived in Savannah since 1947. Virginia was married to Rev. Herbert Roberts, June 26, 1949 and was a dedicated pastor's wife in various churches in the Savannah area, she taught Sunday School for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Rev. Herbert Roberts and a daughter, Patricia Louise Roberts.
Survivors include by two sons, Joseph E. Roberts of Clayton, GA and Gary M. Robert of Pembroke; grandchildren, Rebecca Hadwin, Shelby Madden, Fran Horner, Teresa Rubio, Mark Roberts, Chrystal Roberts, Jessica Homan, Sarah Roberts, 17 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
Funeral Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at the Funeral Home Chapel with burial following at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens Cemetery.
