Virginia Mildred Powell Cail, 95, of Savannah, died Thursday, August 18, 2016 at her residence, under the care of Hospice Savannah.
She was born in Toombs County, Ga., but had lived in Savannah for the past 55 years, and was preceded in death by her husband, John Ashton Cail, and daughter Kay Martinez.
She was retired from the Desoto Truck Stop on Highway 17, where she served as manager of the Restaurant.
She was a member of Silk Hope Baptist Church, Past Matron of Bethlehem Chapter # 269, OES for 6 times, a member of the Alee Temple Ladies Auxiliary, the Greeters Unit, and Daughters of America.
She is survived by a son, Roger F. Wright (Lynette) of Savannah, a great grandson, Roy G. Neely, III (Amanda) of Savannah, 4 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren.
Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Monday at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Hubert C. Baker Chapel.
OES Memorial Service: 7 p.m. Monday in the Hubert C. Baker Chapel, conducted by Bethlehem Chapter # 269, OES.
Funeral Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday at Silk Hope Baptist Church, with Rev. Jonathan Phillilps, officiating.
Interment will follow in Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery.
Mrs. Cail will be taken to the church to lie in state at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday.
Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Hubert C. Baker Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
