Virginia A. Grotheer, 75 died Sunday March 19, 2017, surrounded by her loving family.
Daughter of the late Clifford Grice Anderson and Alton J. Anderson. She was an honor graduate of the 1st class of Groves High School in 1960. Virginia retired from Chatham County State Court Finance in 2006. She was a member of Jasper Springs Baptist Church in Garden City, GA. She was a sorority member of Beta Sigma Phi. She enjoyed being with her family especially during the holidays. She also enjoyed her yearly vacations with her sister Doris and niece Joy Mixon Williams. During her spare time she enjoyed shopping, cross stitching, reading and putting jig saw puzzles together with her husband.
She is preceded in death by her two brothers Jack Anderson of Collins GA, and Wendell Anderson of Jacksonville, FL.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years Martin and their two sons Keith (Renee) and Kevin (Yvonne) several grandchildren: Erin, Morgan, Ryan and Rachel with one great-grand child Sophie. A sister Doris A. Mixon of Metter, GA, and a brother Pete Anderson (Barbara) of Savannah, GA, several nieces and nephews. She was loved very much and will be missed dearly.
Graveside services will be held at Greenwich Cemetery section 7 in Savannah, GA at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 21, 2017.
