Virginia "George" Clark, age 80, of Savannah, Georgia passed away Sunday, February 12, 2023 surrounded by the ones that loved her in her home.
She was born February 20, 1942 to the parents of Zedison Willard Ray and Margie Virginia Ray. At a young age, she sadly lost her father. However, she was blessed with a wonderful step father, Jack C. Hamm. George was a part of the first graduating class of Jenkins High School 1959. A year after graduation, she married her one and only Albert Tilton Clark. Together they had three sons. While her sons were growing up, she enjoyed being a Football Mom. She never missed a game and was always the team's number one cheerleader. George loved boating, fishing, and spending time with her boys so much that she would often let the boys ditch school and take them with her. She loved to bowl. In her life she bowled four 300 games and won many trophies. George was a force to be reckoned with. She was funny, quick as a whip, the life of the party, and she was known for being brutally honest.
George worked at Clark and Sons Iron Work, and also as a real estate agent at Waters Realty. She was a member of Taliaferro Baptist Church until they closed. George then attended St. Pauls.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Albert T. Clark; her son, Robert Ray "Moose" Clark; and her sister, Dale Ray Glover.
She is survived by her two sons, Albert "Buddy" Clark, Jr (Tammy), Edwin Dennis Clark ( Stephany); her five grandchildren, Kyle Jack Clark (Jennifer), Amanda Rae Clark Sikes (Dan), Robert Ray Clark, Jr. (Kirsten), Edwin Bailey Clark, Bryce Tilton Clark; nine great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
