Virginia Ann Atkinson

November 12, 1963 — August 2, 2024

Virginia "Ginny" Ann Atkinson, 60, of Savannah, GA passed away peacefully, Friday, August 2, 2024, after a sudden illness.

A native of Basingstoke, England, she was the daughter of Thelma Jane Collins and the late Earl C. Atkinson.

Ginny was bright, determined and full of life. Once she set her mind to something there was no changing it. She was loved by all who knew her, especially for sense of humor. She had the warmest of hearts and a vibrant personality. Ginny never met a stranger. She was a kind, loving, mother, daughter and friend. Ginny was a lover of music, especially R&B. She loved to cook and share this gift with family and friends.

In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by a son, Joshua Sodoski; brother, Victor B. Atkinson; nephew, Christopher Lance Williams; and grandparents, Wilfred Victor Collins and Doris Gwendolyn Collins.

She leaves behind mother, Thelma Greenway; daughter, Christine Donovan (John); son, Landrew Sodoski; sisters, Tina Sheredy and Anita Elliott; brother, Kenneth M. Atkinson (Melissa); nephew, Nicholas Avery Sheredy; and many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held Monday, August 5, 2024 at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Garden City Chapel at 2pm.
