Virgie M Lancaster

On January 1st, 2016, the Lord called Mrs. Vergie Mae "Pat" Brown Lancaster to join him and other family members in heaven. She was born February 1924 to Jerry Norman Brown and Tommie Jefferson Lofton Brown in Wheeler County, Georgia. The Brown family had a strong belief in God and love of family which remains with existing generations today.

In 1944 she married Russell Lamar Lancaster who died in 2004. They had one son, Stanley R. Lancaster. He and his wife Barbara L. Lancaster have one daughter, Kelly L. Smith, and one grandson, Graham Larkin Smith.

Of five sisters, Vergie Mae will be reunited with Mrs. Vastee O'Quinn, Mrs. Alene Polk, Mrs. Hazel Coleman and Mrs. Marion Crawford. She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Moena Demirgian of Statesboro, Georgia.

The viewing will be held from 1-2pm on Wednesday, January 6 at Fairhaven Funeral Home and Crematory on US Highway 80 in Garden City. Private burial will follow in Springfield Cemetery in Downtown Springfield at the Methodist Church.
