Victoria “Vickie” Bell Padgett, age 79, passed away unexpectedly in Atlanta, Wednesday, November 1, 2023.
Vickie was born in Savannah, Georgia to the parents of William Harvey Bell and Juanita Boyette. Vickie is a graduate of Savannah High School. December 23, 1962 she married her husband of sixty one years, James Padgett.
Vickie had a big heart, she was generous and caring. She loved being with her family, flowers, shopping, and wildlife; except for snakes. She was even known for feeding the racoons. She enjoyed sewing, which was something that was taught to her by her own mother. She was a talented photographer. She was able to capture her life on the water through the lens of her camera. Often photographing the sunsets, birds, and other wildlife. Vickie and her friends also enjoyed playing bunco a few times each month.
Vickie is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Eddie Bell, Charlie Bell; four brothers in laws, Ben Kirven, Buddy Padgett (Betty), Carlton Padgett (Barbara June), Buck Padgett; and her beloved yorkie, Reba Bell Padgett.
Vickie is survived by her husband, James Padgett; two children, James Padgett (Shannon), Lisa Drescher (Vince); three grandchildren, Kurt Drescher, Alyssa Edwards, Pierce Jarrell, one great grandchild, Oaklynn Edwards; three sisters, Nina Jones (Don), Donna Morris, Delores Matthews; one brother, Butch Bell (Kathy), and sister in law, Barbara Kirven.
The family will be receiving friends at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 4, 2023 at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, 7415 Hodgson Memorial Drive, Savannah, Georgia 31406. A memorial service will be held directly after visitation and begin at 11:00 a.m.
