Verlana Beatrice Pride was born on February 18th, 1961 to Verdella and James Pride.
Lana had a great personality and was a joy to be around. She had a beautiful smile and she loved to laugh. She was always the life of the party. She enjoyed being surrounded by her family, watching television and watching funny movies. Lana’s biggest joy was music and there was always a song in her heart.
She enjoyed all types of music especially her favorite artist “Lil Wayne”. Lana always had a love for cooking and studied culinary arts. She loved to prepare meals for her family, and spoiling her grand children.
Lana departed life on March 8, 2021.
Lana leaves to cherish her memories; her ex-husband, Mark Loyd, her children, Le’ Vel Pride, Terrell Pride (Lacy), Nicole Pride and Yalonda Loyd, her grandchildren, Nicolas Hamilton, (Twins) Da’ Shawn Hamilton, Daisa Hamilton, Marquel Cummings, De’ Ondre Pride, Shakayla Pride, Lailah Pride, Jeremiah Bogus, and Jordan Skillings, siblings, Ronald Summersett and Randy Pride, an uncle, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
A Memorial Service to Celebrate the Life of Verlana “Lana” Beatrice Loyd’s will be held 3:00 p.m. Saturday, March 27, 2021 at the Funeral Home Chapel.
