Vera Perkins

Vera Perkins, 95, of Savannah, died Monday, March 6th, at Hospice Savannah.
She was born on March 30, 1921 in Statesboro, the daughter of the late Lester and Verdie McConnell Smith.
Vera worked at Union Camp for over 30 years. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church for over 50 years.
She was preceded in death by her son; Paul Dennis Best; granddaughter, Elizabeth Best Lane; 2 brothers and a sister.
Survivors include her grandson, Paul Best; great-grandson, Brody Lane; daughter-in-law Karen Padgett Best;very close friend, Marie Cowart.

Visitation will be held Thursday, March 9, f rom 1:00pm to 2:00pm at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Hubert C. Baker Chapel, 7415 Hodgson Memorial Drive, Savannah.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00pm, Thursday, March 9,2017 in the Chapel of Baker-McCullough Funeral Home, conducted by Father Kevin Kelly. Interment will be private.
