Vera Mae Brettin

Vera Mae Sharpe Brettin, age 85, of Savannah passed away on Tuesday, June 11, 2024.
Mrs. Brettin was born on February 24, 1939 in Savannah to the late Oliver Cromwell Sharpe and the late Vera Whiteman Sharpe. She was a dedicated member of Victory Baptist Church and retired after many years of working at Woolworth's.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roland William Britten; and son, Richard Wayne Brettin.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, David Lee & Angie Brettin; daughters and sons-in-law, Sheila & Herbert Webster and Sherry Webster (Justy); brother and sister-in-law, Walter & Helen Sharpe' sisters, Elizabeth Hill and Anna Damboise; 12 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren' and three great great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Victory Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Hospice Savannah (1352 Eisenhower Dr. Savannah, GA 31406) or the American Cancer Society ( www.cancer.org/donate ).
