Velma Faye Clark Sheppard, 85, of Savannah, GA passed away December 31, 2020.
She was born December 2, 1935 in Tarboro, NC to the late Roger Clark and Freddie Thompson Clark. She was of Catholic faith.
She met and married the love of her life, William Patrick Sheppard, April 17, 1958 and together they raised 10 children. She was a homemaker and a housewife for many years but was a self proclaimed entrepreneur and Princess. She never met a stranger.
Mrs. Sheppard was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 35 years, William Patrick Sheppard; and siblings, Ronald, Myrtle, Rowland, and Raye Clark.
Surviving are her children, Electra Smith (Michael), Tony Lee (Carla), Billy Sheppard, Jimmy Sheppard (Mary), Liz Fruitticher (Dale), Kenneth Sheppard, Peggy Bushnaq (Adell), Theresa Conners, Tim Sheppard, and Tammy Fischer (Nash); twenty eight grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; sisters, Bessie and Sarah Clark; and a number of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM on Wednesday with a Rosary to be held at 5 PM in the chapel of the funeral home. Graveside services will be held Thursday at 1 PM at the Catholic Cemetery with Monsignor Costigan officiating.
