Ulmer (Sonny) Deloach

In the morning hours of August 10, 2018, my father, Ulmer Aaron (Sonny) DeLoach born September 9, 1931; went home to glory to join his family there. Sonny was preceded in death by his father Benson Deloach, his mimothyother Oran DeLoach, His daughter Robin and his son Timothy.

Sonny was saved by grace under the preaching of Reverend L.J. Chambliss of the original South Gardens Baptist Church. Sonny played/coached softball and basketball for the church teams, I was allowed to play up under him for a few moments in the final game, those minutes I'll never forget. Even though my Dad's last year wasn't the best, he always said "God has been good to me". Jesus said to us in John 14:6 " I am the way the truth and the life, no one comes to the father except through me."

Sonny is survived by his son Terry DeLoach and by his "Brother's Keeper" Paul DeLoach.

All who may have known him, are invited as we celebrate his arrival and reunion in heaven. There will be a graveside service at 10:00 am at Hillcrest Abbey East, Thursday, August 16, 2018. Baker-McCullough Funeral Home (Hubert C Baker Chapel) are in charge of the arrangements
