Tyisha J. Hunter was a caring mother, daughter, sister, niece, and friend. She left this world suddenly on September 11, 2021 at age 35. She had a love of life and faced every challenge or obstacle with courage and a smile. Although diagnosed with a heart condition at 2 years old, she was determined to accomplish her goals. Tyisha could accomplish anything she set her mind to do. As a toddler, she even helped to take care of her elderly great-grandfather.
She was a loving and devoted mother, who loved spending time with her family and friends. She cheered until she was hoarse at her son’s football games, supported her oldest daughter, and sung to the top of her voice to entertain her 7-year-old. Her final months were spent surrounded by family and friends that Tyisha had touched in many ways throughout her very memorable life.
Tyisha’s life would seem too short to many, but those who were touched by her understand that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. Her animated expressions and witty humor brought so much joy to all around her. She kept people rolling in laughter because she could find humor in the most mundane of life circumstances.
She had an uncanny ability to find happiness in her daily activities and her pleasant, yet outspoken personality was contagious to everyone she met. Tyisha is survived by her children – TyLasia, Tyshon, and Taliyah; her mother, Wanda (Charles); father figure, Daniel Brown; biological father, Richard Hunter; her brother, Ricky; her sisters, Latrelle, Danielle, and Kelli; her grandmothers, Eva Scott and Clara Hunter; her aunts, Belinda (Larry) King and Hope Eady; her uncles, Bernard, Cyrus, and Tony Hunter; and many siblings, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
The family will receive friends Tuesday September 21, 2021 from 12-2PM with a funeral service to follow at 2PM in the chapel of the funeral home. Burial will be at Greenwich Cemetery.
