Tommy Henry Porter

Tommy Henry Porter, 59 of Savannah died August 11, 2009.
Tommy was born in Marshall, TX September 13, 1949 to the late Buford Henry Porter and the late Ollie Crosby Porter. He lived most of his life in Savannah where he was a member of Bible Baptist Church. He also served in the National Guard during the Vietnam era. Mr. Porter was a 32nd degree Mason and member of Acacia Lodge. He worked for Stone Container as a crane operator for 17 years.
He is survived by his son: Carson Tommy Porter of Savannah. He is also survived by the mother of his son: Debra Woods Porter, 2 step-sons: Chris Moir of Rincon and Jeremy Moir of Statesboro, his cousin; Diane Garland of Statesboro, and his best friend; Buddy Brinson of Savannah.
A memorial service will be held on Friday immediately following visitation from 6 to 8pm at the Bonaventure Funeral Home.
