1SG Todd P. Huidekoper, 39, of Savannah, GA passed away Sunday October 16, 2022.

1SG Huidekoper is a native of Hampton, New Hampshire and enlisted into the United States Army as a Combat Medic in 2002. He attended Basic Training at Fort Knox, Kentucky and Advanced Individual Training at Fort Sam Houston, Texas. His previous duty assignments include: Medic, Team Leader, and Squad Leader with the 28th Combat Support Hospital, Fort Bragg, NC including 2 combat deployments to Iraq (OIF I and V-VI). AMEDD Recruiter with the Minneapolis Station, 3rd Medical Recruiting Battalion. Medical Operations NCOIC of 210th Fires Brigade, Camp Casey, Korea. Medical Platoon Sergeant of 1st Battalion, 17th Infantry Regiment, Joint Base Lewis-McChord, WA. Detachment Sergeant of the Army Health Clinic

First Sergeant, Charlie Company, 703rd BSB, Ft Stewart, GA. 1SG Huidekoper’s Military Education includes: Warrior Leader Course, Fort Bragg, NC, AMEDD Advanced Leader Course (Commandant’s List), AMEDD Senior Leader Course (Commandant’s List), Master Leader Course (Superior Academic Achievement), Army Recruiter Course, Health Care Recruiter Course, Lean Leader (Certified), and Unit Armorer Course (Honor Graduate).

His Awards and Decorations include: The Meritorious Service Medal (2nd award), The Army Commendation Medal (7th award), Army Achievement Medal (3rd award), Meritorious Unit Citation (2nd award), Good Conduct Medal (6th award), National Defense Service Medal, Iraqi Campaign Medal (2 bronze campaign stars), Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Korean Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Service Medal, NCO Professional Development Ribbon (4th award), Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon (4th award), Gold Recruiter Badge (3 sapphire stars), Drivers Badge (wheel), and Gold Schützenschnur Badge. 1SG Huidekoper is also a recipient of the Official Order of Military Medical Merit and was The AMEDD Recruiting Brigade NCO of the Year for fiscal year 2011.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, James and Victoria Fyfe; and beloved cat, Trouble.

He is survived by his wife, Amela Huidekoper; daughters, Caroline and Charlotte Huidekoper; father, Hugh Huidekoper (Cindy); mother, Patricia Monaco (Thomas); sister, Jennifer Huidekoper; half sister, Angela; uncle, Michael Fyfe; father and mother in law, Dursum and Enesa Brakic; brother in law, Amer Brakic; and his cat, Trinity (She misses him greatly).

A Visitation will be held Monday October 24, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Baker McCullough Funeral Home- Garden City Chapel.

A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday October 25, 2022 at 12:30 PM at Baker McCullough Funeral Home- Garden City Chapel.

Interment will be Tuesday October 25, 2022 at 3:00 PM at Georgia Veteran's Memorial Cemetery- Glenville, GA.
