Thomas "Ta" Anthony Swafford

Retired US Army Sergeant First Class, Thomas Anthony Swafford "TA", 69, of Guyton passed away Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at his home.
A native of Huntsville, Alabama, he was the son of the late William Thomas and Gail Swafford.
TA was a retired US Army Veteran having served during The Korean War, The Vietnam War and was in The 173rd Airborne Brigade. He was a recipient of many awards, medals and ribbons. After retiring from the US Army, TA became a truck driver and later retired from Lazer Spot, Inc. were he was a Master Jockey Truck Driver. He loved his family and was known as Papa of all trades.
Survivors include his wife, Peggie Sue Wall Swafford, children, Michael Swafford (Anna), Christy Banda (Jorge), Jennifer Drake (Tom), Tonya Pineda (Jose), 13 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and many friends.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. Saturday, July 3, 2021 at the Funeral Home.
