Tommy Conner, age 84, a native of Savannah Georgia, went to be with his Heavenly Father Monday June 11, 2018 with his family by his side.
Tommy served in the U.S. Navy and worked for the rail road as a machinist.
He and his wife of 55 years, Doris W. Conner, enjoyed playing gospel music at home together and at their church, First Assembly of God. He played the violin and she plays the piano.
A night owl, he enjoyed sitting at the 24 hour Diner, which he referred to as "the Palace."
Tommy, like all of us had his endeavors, but he rose above them with the help of Jesus and repaid this gift by always holding out his hand to help the next person in need.
He was preceded in death by his parents Thomas G. Conner, Sr., Mary M. Conner, and four siblings, Velma, Grace, James, and Paul.
He is survived by his devoted wife Doris W. Conner; sister Lena (Dave) Liggett; two children Mark Conner and John Conner (Leigh); six grandchildren, Ariel (David), Angela , Amy (Kobi), Larry, Kate and Caroline; One Great Grandson Noah, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at First Assembly of God Church 1901 Pennsylvania Ave. Savannah GA, 31404.
Visitation: 12 - 1 p.m.
Service: 1 - 2 p.m.
Graveside Service: 2 -3 p.m.
