Theresa Ann Hibbard Brown passed away peacefully Friday, January 14, 2022 with family by her side.
She was born July 7, 1930 in Spearfish, South Dakota. She spent the first 19 years of her life with her parents George James Hibbard and Ida Brakke Hibbard. Then while attending St. Johns School of Nursing in Rapid City, Theresa met Sgt. Richard Louis Brown.
Cupid took over their lives and for the next 22 years Theresa and the children followed wherever the Army sent Dick. 71 Carson, Colorado; Schofield Barracks, Hawaii; Fort Bragg, North Carolina; Fort Euster, Virginia; Fort Clayton, Panama Canal Zone. While Dick was in Korea and Vietnam the family stayed in Spearfish. Dicks army career ended at Hunter Army Airfield after 22 years. He died of cancer October 6, 1989.
While in Savannah, Theresa delivered the Savannah Morning News from October 1, 1970 to October 1, 2012. At the same time, she worked at Largo-Tibet Elementary as the Media Clerk from September 1977 to June 2006.
Theresa is preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Richard L. Brown; and her daughter, Dea Brown.
She is survived by her daughters, Christine Krimbill (Norman), Patrese Tanguay, and Shawna Richardson (Jerry),her sons, Richard Brown (Jan), Rodger Brown (Leslie), and Randy Brown; 9 grandchildren, Erin Polk, Becki Day, Stephanie Thompson, Carrie Ruffin, Alison Wiggins, Luke Brown, Roxanne Richardson, Max Brown, and Abby Brown-Williams; and 10 great-grandchildren.
