Bernard (Bernie) Raymond DeNitto Jr. died October 29, 2020, and his brother S. John DeNitto (Butch) died November 25, 2020, both of natural causes.
Bernie was born December 22, 1952, and Butch on October 9, 1955, in Savannah, to Elizabeth Stefanelli DeNitto and Bernard DeNitto. Their father died in a truck accident in March, 1961, leaving their Mom alone to raise them.
Bernie was an avid car and sports enthusiast, and Butch enjoyed travel, gourmet food and a good party. Despite their different interests, they were best friends, attending an occasional Notre Dame football game, a car race, or a delicious dinner in Charleston. Butch was very interested in genealogy, and to the delight of the families, traced the DeNitto and Stefanelli families back many generations.
Bernie and Butch are survived by loving cousins in Jamestown, NY, and Savannah, Brooklet, and Statesboro, Georgia, as well as many close friends. Bernie and Butch will be deeply missed by all of us. May they rest in God’s peace.
