Terry Michael William Walker, 80, of Savannah GA died peacefully at home on January 5, 2024, after a lengthy illness.
Terry was a veteran of the US Army, who served with the 1st Battalion, 9th Cavalry Regiment during the Vietnam war. Terry worked in the Printing Industry in Savannah for decades and was the manager of the Candler Hospital Print Shop for many years before he retired. He was a past Master of Zerubbabel Lodge #15 F.&A.M., past President of the of the Alee Shriners Flag Unit, and past Recorder of the Alee Shriners.
Born in Hannibal, MO, to Claude Norman Walker and Anna Elizabeth Tennyson, Terry was predeceased by his parents, his sister Aleta Walker, and his cherished parents-in-law, Toby and Jane Coursey.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 34 years, Joy Coursey Walker and his faithful companion, Buddy; his brothers, Norman (Marla) Walker of Sun City, AZ, and Kevin Walker; his sisters Bethe (Bud) Rose of Union City, CA, Claudette Walker of Klamath Falls, OR, Noel (Ron) Stout of El Sobrante, CA, and Annette Allan of Northport, AL; his brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Debi Coursey of Daytona Beach, FL; his dear cousin, Jean Kochan; several nieces and nephews; and a son from whom he was sadly estranged.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, January 11, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Hodgson Memorial Chapel (7415 Hodgson Memorial Drive Savannah, GA 31406).
The family will receive friends and family one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Inurnment will take place at Newington Cemetery, Newington, GA on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at 12:00 noon.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Masonic Home of Georgia.
