Terry Lee Courson

On Saturday December 10, 2022 the Heavens opened to welcome Terry Lee Courson “TLC” to the largest sports arena, where he has front row seating to the Georgia Bulldogs, Atlanta Falcons, Braves and NASCAR. The fish and deer don’t have a chance now that he has a bird’s eye view and cannot avoid capture.

Terry worked at Gulfstream for 27 years and played several years with the Gulfstream Men’s Softball. All his life he was involved in sports , pulling pranks on everyone just to get a good laugh and just an all-around fun-loving person.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Tommy and Peggy Courson; mother-in-law, Jean Helmly; and sister-in-law, Netta Helmly

Left to cherish his memories are the love of his life, Cindy Courson; daughter, Brandi Nichole Courson; granddaughter, Sloan Aubrey Mullins; siblings, Angie Groves (David), Melody Phillips (Timmy) and Tammy Clark (Buddy); sister-in-law, Gerry Helmly; numerous nieces and nephews, and his constant companion, Rosie Moon, his beloved dog.

Honorary pall bearers will be Buddy Clark, Danny Hilton, David Groves and Fred Collin.

At Terry’s request, please wear your favorite sports team’s gear or colors.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, December 14, 2022, at 2pm at Baker McCullough Funeral Home 2794 US Highway 80 W Garden City Georgia with Rev. Peter Hartmann officiating. The family will receive friends from 1230pm until the time of the service.
