Teresa Lee Vickers Dilmore, 62, died January 6, 2016 at Hospice Savannah after a 6 month battle with brain cancer.
Born in Augusta Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Lee Vickers Jr. and the late Ruth Jones. She is preceded in death by brothers, Bob Andy Jones Jr., Wesley Graham and sister, Mary Nell Thomas.
Teresa attended Groves High School and graduated in the Class of 1971. She was a long time member of Garden City Church of God and later Corinth Baptist of Richmond Hill. She enjoyed studying God's word and sharing His love. After caring for her mother for many years, she discovered a passion for working with the elderly and volunteered much of her time at Bryan County Rehabilitation Center. There she enjoyed organizing activities for the residents including their annual beauty pageant. Over the past several years, she worked as a bridal consultant where she used her creative side to help plan beautiful weddings.
She enjoyed traveling with her husband of 30 years, Robert B. Dilmore Sr. and spending time with her family. She is survived by her sisters Ann Otteson, Roberta Ray, and brother Thomas Lee Vickers III, daughters Allison Ellis (Joey) and Alaina Owen(Brandon), as well as, 5 grandchildren Grace Ellis, Griffin Ellis, Lily Ellis, Dan Owen and Bella Owen. She also is survived by stepchildren and step grandchildren Robert B. Dilmore Jr. and Tammie Dilmore (Robert Dilmore III, Tess, Mariah), Mark and Debbie Dilmore (Sarah), Cindy and Gordon Leacock (Michael, Ricky), Linda ad John Tribbey (Jennifer, Julie). She also had many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
Visitation: 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, January 7th at Fairhaven Funeral Home - Garden City Chapel.
Funeral: 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 8th at Fairhaven Funeral Home- Garden City Chapel with the interment to follow at Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery on Dean Forest Rd.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Bryan County Rehabilitation Center or The National Brain Tumor Society.
