Sylvia Elaine “Sunshine” Rambo, age 61, of Savannah, GA passed away Thursday, March 16, 2023.
Sunshine was born on July 10, 1961 in Barnesville, GA, the daughter of Dortha Troupe and the late Leroy Troupe. She owned Sunshine’s Cleaning Company where she provided cleaning services for new construction. She was a longtime member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Springfield until becoming a member of Silk Hope Baptist Church where she was active with the choir. She enjoyed camping, gardening, sewing, and making quilts.
Sunshine was preceded in death by her father, Leroy Troupe and her sister, Elizabeth Joanna “Jody” Nelson Fiveash. She is survived by her loving husband of 31 years, Russell “Russ” Rambo; daughters, Mranda Elaine Donlon (Joe) and Jessie Cooper; son, Russell Allen Rambo, II; mother, Dortha “Granny” Troupe; brother, Freddie Allen Troupe (Peggy); grandchildren, Kay (Steve), Angel, Leanne, Cody, Trenton, and JoJo; great grandchild, Ava Lee; and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Sunshine’s Life will be held at 5:00 p.m., Monday, March 20, 2023 at Silk Hope Baptist Church, 4929 Pineland Drive, Savannah, GA. The family will be receiving friends from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
A Celebration will also be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 1, 2023 at Fellowship Baptist Church, 2239 Hutchinson Pond Road, Hahira, GA 31632 with a private burial following at the Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery.
