Susan Cheryl (Adams) Rushing, age 72, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 6, 2020, at her home in Sandfly.
She was born December 15, 1947, in Savannah, Georgia to the late Emory Charles and Rose Mary (Brown) Adams.
She was a 1966 graduate of Savannah High School and attended Brewton-Parker College in Mount Vernon, Georgia where she completed an Associate’s Degree.
Before retiring, Susan spent most of her professional career in the medical field as an X-ray Tech for the Miller Orthopedic Clinic in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Throughout her life, Susan was a lover of all animals, found joy in music and dance, took solace in gardening and volunteered with Meals on Wheels helping feed and care for the elderly for a number of years. But most importantly, Susan was a follower of Jesus and would often share her faith with others through words and deed.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her bother, Emory Charles (Chip) Adams, Jr.; and sister, Carolyn Rose Adams.
Surviving are two daughters, Jennifer Brooks Faustine (William) of Charlotte, NC and Courtney Rose Brooks (Patrick Harper) of Midway, GA; two grandchildren, Madison Nicole Kristy and Kyle Preston
Kristy; one great grandchild, Carson Lee Higdon; and her beloved cats, Bella and George.
