Susan Anne Phillips, 65, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, February 17th at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Savannah, GA. She was born in Wilmington, DE on November 23, 1954 and grew up in Garnet Valley, PA. She attended Valley Forge Christian College before her family relocated to Tilghman Island, MD where she met the love of her life, Wayne. Susan ministered alongside Wayne for over 40 years. She had a passion for creating things and making everything around her more beautiful. She made quilts and enjoyed sewing and crafting. She enjoyed leading Women’s ministry for many years and teaching young girls in Missionettes. More than anything, she loved the Lord and brought light to the lives of those she loved. She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles & Dorothea Persinger and by her loving husband, Wayne Phillips. She is survived by her only daughter, Grace Phillips, Sister, Dianne Persinger, Sister-in-Law Edwardine Kirwan of Maryland, Warren (Christina) Phillips of Delaware, Joseph (Sharon) Phillips of West Virginia, Rebecca (John) Cubbedge of Georgia, Steven (Tamela) Phillips of Delaware, Uncle Jimmy Reamy of Virginia, and several beloved nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at Alive Church in Pooler Saturday, February 22nd at 2pm.
