Susan Mccrary Gore

Susan McCrary Gore peacefully transitioned on Tuesday, August 15th. Born on March 19, 1953 in Beaufort South Carolina, the daughter of Evelyn & Robert McCrary. She graduated from Jenkins High School in 1971, married, and had two beautiful children. She then started a career spanning nearly 40 years in Property Management.
Susan had a huge heart, and was always offering anything and everything that she had to others in need. She faced many obstacles and heartaches in her life, and always forged ahead with the heart and soul of the warrior that she was. She was the perfect example of a strong woman, always finding a way. She never seemed shattered; she was a breathtaking mosaic of the battles she won.
She is survived by her step father that loved her and raised her as his own daughter, John D. McCord, loving daughter, Leigh D. McGaughey (spouse Michael), her loving and doting grandson Kyle D. Stefanick, her best friend of over 40 years, Sharon Kerrick, and her loving friends John, Michael, Alexandra and Joseph. She was predeceased by her mother, Evelyn McCord, father Robert McCrary, and her first born, Barry C. Davis. The family would like to thank Debra and Yolanda for providing excellent care, kindness and compassion to Susan during her last few weeks. Visitation will be 6 - 7 pm Thursday August 18, 2017 at Baker McCullough Funeral Home Bonaventure Chapel 2520 Bonaventure Road Savannah, GA. 31404 with Funeral Service to follow at 7 pm. Interment will be private.
Susan loved flowers and would probably want them by the thousands at her service. I think that she would mostly want for everyone to rejoice and laugh, share memories and stories of love, and just enjoy each others company. Just as she would have done.
