Susan Lee Waterfield , 73 died Tuesday, July 11th, 2017, at her home following a long battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her loving family until the very end.
She was born in San Francisco, Ca. on June 1, 1944, the daughter of the late Edgar and Cecelia (Sheila) Barker.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her youngest son, Eric Waterfield.
Susan led an adventurous life, and danced to her own drums and loved every minute of it. Her life was enhanced by Skydiving, having made over 1000 skydives. Her greatest wish was to be buried at sea, which will be accommodated at a later date.
Susan is survived by her son Jason Waterfield and his wife Melissa, her brother Raymond Barker and his wife Teresa, all of Savannah, Ga. Also by her brother Edward Barker and his wife Christine of Ohio. Her greatest joys were her grandchildren , Victoria, Olivia, and Maddux Waterfield, and Kailyn and Emma Keeton.
The family will receive friends from 4pm to 6pm with a Celebration of Life beginning at 6pm, Saturday, July 15 at Baker-McCullough Funeral Home, Hubert C. Baker Chapel, 7415 Hodgson Memorial Dr, Savannah, Ga. 31406
Susan had only 2 requests, that everyone try to wear some kind of purple in her honor, as that was her very favorite color. And in lieu of flowers, she requested that donations be made to the American Cancer Society
