Steven David Shore

June 6, 1944 — August 25, 2024

Steven D. Shore passed away Sunday, August 25th, 2024.

Steve was born & raised with his five siblings in Brooklyn NY. Steve became a true Southerner, living in Savannah over the last 60 years but his NY roots never left him. He served in the Air Force with the Strategic Air Command at Hunter Air Force Base and forever loved the military. In Savannah: he found an amazing loyal community of lifelong friends, he found a perfect wife, Mary, he raised an amazing son, Hank and he found his calling for the Church. Steve's proudest accomplishment was the family he created and the values he instilled in them. His son & grandchildren were his pride & joy. Steve found a second home at Gulf Stream, with a long career, he was proud of.

Steve was passionate about so many things in his life: he was passionate about learning & knowledge, he was passionate about fixing and building anything, he was passionate about his yard, he was passionate about good food, he was passionate about teaching, he was passionate about the holidays and of course, Steve was passionate about giving back to the community and so much more.

Steve's life was changed forever, when he discovered the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Steve loved the church. Steve loved to talk about God, as much as he loved God. Steve loved teaching the word of God, especially to his young, Sunday school students. Steve Shore was a Man of God.

Steve gave 100% to his friends, who he considered family. He was true to his word. Everyone Steve met, considered him a friend. He loved all types of music including country music, the symphony, & the gospel. He loved sharing his thoughts on the simple things in life. Steve loved NY Pizza, Pastrami, Chick-Fil-A & Jimmy Dean Sausages.

Steve was a MASTER fixer and an expert with Tools. If he couldn't fix it, he could build it better from scratch. He could build anything and everything. He was a Master at reading technical manuals. Steve was a technical genius, capable of doing anything technical, with extraordinary patience & perfectness.

Steve had the gift of gab and he loved to debate on politics, religion and life. He had a great sense of humor. He believed in forgiveness. Happiness for Steve was being surrounded by his family and friends.

Steven was preceded in death by his loving wife of 46yrs, Mary Elizabeth Shore; his loving son, Henry Albert "Hank" Shore; and sisters & brother-in-laws, Clair Alpert & Mike Alpert, Harriet & Dave Reisner, & Hal Schneider.

Survivors include his siblings, Stan (Yulia) Shore, Nancy Wilson & Susan Schneider; sister-in-law, Linda Macaluso; grandsons, Travis & Alex Shore; daughter in-law, Jennifer Shore; nieces & nephews; cousins; and other cherished close & extended family, too many to name.
