Steven Anthony Gillis, 33, of Savannah Georgia passed away suddenly at home on Monday, December 12, 2022.
A native of Savannah, GA, Steven was the son of Steven J. Gillis and the late Kathleen S. Gillis.
He graduated from Johnson High School and furthered his education with a certificate in Culinary Arts.
Steven became a member of Abilities Unlimited where he competed in weightlifting. He gained a second family through Pennie and Tommy Lightfoot and his trainer, Jim Chaplin. Steven was the Georgia Special Olympic Athlete of the Month February 2018. He also enjoyed going to bowling league through AMBUCS.
Steven is survived by his father, Steven J. Gillis; brother Christopher Dickerson and family; sister, Krista Gillis and family; brother, Matthew Gillis and family; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
A gathering for family and friends will be held Wednesday, December 28, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. at the Funeral Home with a memorial service beginning at 11:00 a.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel.
