STEPHEN TRIMBLE LINDELL
Stephen Trimble Lindell was born in Wilmington, DE on May 4, 1940 to Ethyl and Bayard Lindell. Steve was a very proud graduate of the University of North Carolina and moved to Savannah, GA to become a newspaper reporter for the Savannah Morning News. He met Carlene Womack in 1966 and married her the same year, taking on the responsibility for raising three young children from his new wife's previous marriage. He fathered a son, Stephen Trimble Lindell, Jr. in 1968.
Steve worked for State Farm Insurance Company as an insurance adjuster for over 40 years and became a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and mediator. He was a member of Promise Keepers, a Gideon and a long-time active member of Southside Baptist Church, serving as a Deacon, Choir Member, and Sunday School teacher. He also served on the local Selective Service Board.
Steve was completely dedicated to his wife of 48 years and her three children as well as his own son. He cared for Carlene for over ten years while she struggled with Alzheimer's disease. Mr. Lindell is survived by his brother, Bayard Stewart Lindell, his four children: Gregory Scoggins, Laura Anderson, Julie Olsen, Stephen Lindell, Jr., seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Southside Baptist Church, The Gideons International, Guided Evangelistic Associates Inc. and Lewy Body Dementia Association
