Stanton Christopher Merritt, age 73, died, Friday evening, November 4, 2011 at Savannah Rehabilitation Nursing Center.
Graveside Rites will be at 2:00 pm, Monday, November 7, 2011 at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens with the Rev. Reland Morgan officiating.
Stanton was born June 23, 1938 in Savannah to the Late Edmond Fisher Merritt and Esther Futrell Merritt. He was a security guard, a general laborer and of the Baptist Faith. He was also a United States Army Veteran having served in the Korean War.
Survivors include: a brother, Robert E. Merritt and wife Candy of Lexington, SC; a sister, Louise M. Sinclair and husband Del of Lutherville, GA; nephews, Delbert H. Sinclair, Jr. and wife Vonda of Port Wentworth, Craig A. Sinclair and wife Kim of Lutherville, GA; one aunt, Louise Futrell of Augusta, GA and several cousins also survives.
The family will receive friends Monday, November 7, 2011 from 12:30 pm until 1:45pm at Bonaventure Funeral Home.
